Adopt a School to Help in the Aftermath of the Hurricanes!

The media coverage of Hurricane Harvey and Irma has been gut-wrenching! Do you want to help? Do you want to reach out and don’t know what to do? We are going to connect school counselors across the country with school counselors from impacted schools. Get students and staff from your school to sign a big poster to send to that school. Find out what supplies they need and sponsor a supplies drive to send to them. Have everyone in your school write a personal note to each person in the impacted school. We have all seen holiday giving trees where names of needy students are put on a tree with items they need – basketball player’s shoes have been destroyed, warm coats for kids, blankets for a family, teacher’s laptop was destroyed, etc. Then your school can sponsor individuals and send the replacement gifts to encourage those impacted during this time. If your school wants to help, have your school counselor fill out their name and information in the form below or on the “Welcome Page” and we will get information to him/her.
