In these stressful times, everyone is facing so much stress with things coming at them from every direction – from their families, their communities, their work situations (whether a student, stay-at-home mom, or engineer), and so many other responsibilities. B.I.O.N.I.C. believes that caring actions can lighten the recipient’s load and refill our buckets that are being emptied quicker than ever before.

Our #viralcaring initiative is meant to give encouragement, hope, and strength during these times. We believe that students can be a big part of creating a more caring climate during this time as they are facing the stress of online learning or boredom by being stuck at home. But everyone can be a part of this outreach too!

We are even giving you some motivation to share this with your friends and loved ones by sending you a B.I.O.N.I.C. t-shirt saying “Believe It Or Not I Care” to the world when you get to 500 points! Each day we will be posting things on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn that you can share with your unique code (described below) to get more points. Let’s make this go viral – positive caring is just what we all need right now!

The prizes are:
B.I.O.N.I.C. Team T-Shirt – if you get 500 points - you get a free B.I.O.N.I.C. Team T-shirt

Student Prizes - Grades Kindergarten thru College
- 1st Place - $100 Amazon Gift Card for the student who earns the most points over 1,000

-2nd Place - $50 Amazon Gift Card for the student who earns the second most points over 1,000

Adult Prizes - 
- B.I.O.N.I.C. Team Advisor Prize - $100 Amazon Gift Card OR a One Room, One-Night stay at the Historic Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colorado (travel to Denver and to and from the hotel and room service and other amenities are not included) – for the school staff B.I.O.N.I.C. Advisor(s) that helps get the most total points from their school. This is for schools that have been certified as an official B.I.O.N.I.C. Team (more information on https://www.bionicteam.org/program/).

- Adult Prize - $50 Amazon Gift Card for the adult (who is not a school B.I.O.N.I.C. Team Advisor) who earns the most points over 1,000

In order to earn points for the contest:

1. After you signed-up, look for an e-mail titled “Help us spread the word - B.I.O.N.I.C. Team” from “Perkzilla – The Viral Rewards Platform” that was sent to you after you signed up using the form on the left.

2. In that e-mail you have a unique referral link after “Your Referral Link Is” that looks something like https://bionicteam.org/viralcaring?ref=20f95.

3. In order to get points, you need to paste that link on your social media posts for people to click on. (For example you can see that on my posts the last couple days.) Then when you go back to our https://www.bionicteam.org/viralcaring/ page, you will see your points and everyone else’s on the Leaderboard. When you go back to our page to check the points, you may need to sign in again and click the red “Get Started” box again to see point totals.

How you get points:

• 10 points - When you sign up
• 5 points when you share on Facebook (can do this every day to get points
• 5 points when you share on Twitter (can do this every day to get points)
• 5 points when you share on LinkedIn (can do this every day to get points)
• 1 point - Every visitor sent to our page
• 25 points - Every referral of other people that enter the contest.

What else can you do?

• Look at each name on your social media friends list. Message each person to check in on them and tell them one thing you appreciate about them. Do this to a few people each day so it doesn’t become overwhelming.
• Look at each person on your e-mail list. Send an e-mail wishing them health and safety during these times and tell them one thing you appreciate about them.
• Look up the businesses that you use. Send them a message thanking them for what they do and how they have impacted you. *Do not send any messages to doctors, first responders, etc. because we don’t want to overwhelm their systems – we can thank them later.
• We don’t encourage sending letters or anything through the mail at this time because the Coronavirus could be transmitted that way.
